EnergyGrade helps accelerate technology companies that reduce building carbon emissions by connecting building owners to clean energy products and financing options while providing project development support.
In New York City
Buildings account for 71% of total greenhouse gas emissions from heating, cooling and electricity use. In the fight against climate change, the New York City Council passed a package of legislation called the Climate Mobilization Act to reduce those emissions by 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2050.
The main focus of this legislation is the updated emissions limits by usage type for large NYC buildings (above 25,000 sqft, exceptions apply).
